Unauthorised removal of rock materials thwarted

KUCHING: The Land and Survey Department (LSD)’s Enforcement Unit on Wednesday successfully thwarted the unauthorised removal of rock materials at Betong division.

During the operation, two heavy machineries which were used to carry out the activity were seized as evidence.

This activity was successfully detected based on intelligence gathered and patrolling activities implemented.

The case will be investigated under section 32A of the Sarawak Land Code (Chapter 81).

Following this, people who wish to undertake the dredging oe removal of rock materials are advised to first contact the nearest Land and Survey Office for further advice to avoid any enforcement action.
