KUCHING: Members of the public on Monday found an unconscious man by the roadside near a local clinic at Jalan Chan Bee Kiew here at around 9.45am.
A police team from Padungan along with Sarawak General Hospital (SGH) paramedics arrived at the scene to investigate the incident after being alerted.
District police chief ACP Awang Din Awang Gani, who confirmed the case, said paramedics pronounced the 49-year-old man from Kampung Sebandi Ulu, Asajaya, dead at the scene.
“The body was later taken to the SGH for further action.
“Examinations by paramedics found no sign of foul play at the scene,” he said.
Awang Din added the case had been classified as sudden death and was still under investigation.
