MIRI: Some 150 new undergraduate students in Curtin University Malaysia (Curtin Malaysia) here recently attended a week-long orientation programme at the university campus.

The students are from the faculties of Chemical Engineering, Civil and Construction Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, Construction Management, Computer Systems and Networking, Computing, and Applied Geology.

The session was facilitated by staff of the various departments, student orientation leaders and volunteers.

The orientation session aimed at helping the new students get acquainted with teaching staff, faculty facilities and services, methods of learning, policies and procedures, and the university’s expectations of its students.

Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Science, Professor Vu Tuong Thuy welcomed the new students and briefed them on awareness programme and preventive measures being undertaken by the university amidst the global Covid-19 epidemic.
