Unifor allocations for two churches

KANOWIT: The Sacred Heart Chapel in Sungai Bawan and the Sungai Tuah Church located in the Ngemah constituency have each received allocations from the Other Religious Affairs Unit (Unifor).

On Friday (July 30), Ngemah assemblyman Alexander Vincent handed over the allocation to representatives of the two churches at his service centre.

According to Alexander, the Sacred Heart Chapel, Sungai Bawan received an allocation of RM80,000 while the Sungai Tuah Church received an allocation of RM100,000.

He further explained that the allocations were for the repair of two houses of worship for the comfort of about 180 families there.

  Sacred Heart Chapel chairman Matthew Anyan and Sungai Tuah Church chairman Louis Vincent thanked Unifor and the state government for the allocations.
