UNIMAS Business School hosts first convo

KUCHING: Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS) Business School (UBS) hosted its first convocation for Professional and Executive Programmes (PEP) today (Nov 4).

According to a statement issued by UNIMAS, the ceremony marked another significant milestone in UBS’ continuous efforts to promote lifelong learning for human capital development locally and globally within a short time since the commencement of the first PEP in 2020.

“A total of 135 graduates received their academic scrolls marking their successful completion in various professional fields of study and levels; Professional Certificate, Professional Diploma, Executive Bachelor and Executive Master.

“PEP has equipped the graduates with fundamental and advanced knowledge, skills and values to enhance their professional practice and career progression,” it said.

Following this, it added that the convocation ceremony was officiated by UNIMAS Board of Directors chairman Tan Sri Datuk Seri Panglima Sulong Matjeraie at Dewan Tunku Abdul Rahman (DeTAR) Putra.

Celebrating the convocation together were the strategic partners engaged in conducting the programmes namely Infoera Academy Sdn. Bhd.; Fine Arts Lifelong Management Sdn. Bhd.; Videv Consulting Sdn. Bhd.; YAHOS Sdn. Bhd.;Majlis Islam Sarawak; and ASTEEL Sdn. Bhd.

Meanwhile, during the ceremony, UNIMAS vice-chancellor, Professor Datuk Dr Mohamad Kadim Suaidi expressed his heartiest congratulations to all graduates and their family members on their achievements and as alumni, continue to support their alma mater to achieve greater heights in providing education opportunities for all – Learning for Life.
