UNIMAS Business School inks MoA for conducting professional courses

KOTA SAMARAHAN: Universiti Malaysia Sarawak’s (UNIMAS) commercial wing, UNIMAS Business School (UBS) has signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with two new strategic partners, Mega Jati Academy Sdn Bhd and PEOPLElogy Sdn Bdn.

The MoA signifies the collaboration in conducting Professional Short Courses (PSC) and Professional & Executive Programmes (PEP).

UBS in collaboration with Mega Jati Academy will offer several courses in two main fields namely, construction and facility management which is suitable for managers and supervisors.

The certifications are equivalent to Level 5, 6 and 7 in the OTHM qualifications, thus giving them added value in the international market.

Meanwhile, UBS’s collaboration with PEOPLElogy Sdn Bhd will see the implementation of two 1-year modular programmes namely, Professional Diploma in Applied Data Analytics and Professional Diploma in Cyber Security.

These programmes provide workers with strategic knowledge in the management and use of data which is relevant in the cyber age.

During the MoA signing ceremony, signing on behalf of Mega Jati Academy Sdn Bhd was its chief executive officer (CEO) Ir Dr Muhammad Akram Che Munaaim and PEOPLElogy Sdn Bhd was represented by its CEO Cally Yau.

Chairman of UBS Board of Directors Prof Datuk Dr Mohamad Kadim Suaidi, warmly welcomed both strategic partners to collaborate in offering lifelong learning initiatives to update working professionals with the knowledge and skills relevant to the changing needs of the work environment.

Also present during the MoA signing ceremony were UBS Board of Directors Prof Datuk Mohd Fadzil Abd Rahman and Prof Ir Ts Dr Al-khalid Othman.
