KOTA SAMARAHAN: Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (Unimas) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Beijing Wuzi University (BWU) at the campus here today.

The MoU aims to initiate joint projects involving collaborative research, students and staff exchange as well as other areas of cooperation which would benefit both parties.

According to Unimas Vice Chancellor Prof Datuk Dr Mohamad Kadim Suaidi, BWU specialises in logistics and distribution.

BWU is a public university that offers diverse disciplines such as economics, management, sciences, engineering, literature and law; among which economics and management are the most fundamental disciplines.

“Therefore, Unimas will take the opportunity to build up our specialty and strength in the same expertise as logistics and distribution are important in the manufacturing industry.

“Besides that, BWU also specialises in information technology, computer science and technology engineering, and Unimas believes that both parties will work together for the betterment of our countries,” said Kadim.
