KUCHING: About 1,000 people from three villages in Tanjong Bako area have received their jabs at the Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (Unimas) vaccination centre (PPV) recently.

Demak Laut assemblyman Dr Hazland Abang Hipni said the villages are Kampung Tanjong Bako, Kampung Pinggan Jaya and Kampung Muhibbah.

He said the vaccination centre is one of the three that cater to his constituents.

“In Demak Laut constituency, there are three centres and two mobile teams. The three centres are at the State Indoor Stadium, Borneo Convention Centre Kuching (BCCK) and Unimas.

“As for the mobile teams, they are at Bako Health Clinic and Tanjung Embang Health Clinic,” he said in his blog post on Monday (July 5).

Meantime, Dr Hazland, who is also the Divisional Disaster Management Committee (DDMC) coordinator for coastal Kuching, Samarahan and Lundu, also made a visit to Unimas PPV last Saturday (July 3).

During the visit, he was briefed on the vaccination process by Unimas vice chancellor Prof Datuk Dr Mohamad Kadim Suadi.
