KUCHING: The Sarawak Medical Services Union (SMSU) donated food and beverages to civil servants and support service staff who are undergoing quarantine at Sentosa Hospital Quarantine Centre.

SMSU deputy president Omar Bahrain Unin said the staff were subjected to the quarantine order following the detection of the Sentosa Hospital Covid-19 cluster.

“We felt their pain and hardship as they are not allowed to return home or meet with other people in order to curb the spread of the virus,” he said.

He added that the donation is a gesture of appreciation to the civil servants and support service staff for their services despite undergoing quarantine.

“We are confident that they will continue to persevere and provide the best services even in the face of difficulty,” said Omar.
