
SIMUNJAN: An unused bridge belonging to a plantation company in the district of Gedong has collapsed.
Acting Simunjan OCPD ASP Honchin Ludu, when contacted, confirmed that the incident happened around 1.30pm, Monday (July 18).
“It is understood that the bridge has been closed since May for safety reasons (not safe to travel on),” he said.
ASP Honchin also disclosed that no one was injured when the structure collapsed.
The incident had caught the attention of netizens and it went viral on social media. It was not made known what caused the bridge to collapse.
