Uphold pledge and serve community well, cops told

KUCHING: Padawan deputy police chief DSP Merbin Lisa has urged the police to uphold their police pledge and give the best service to the community.

Speaking at the police monthly parade yesterday, Merbin called on his men to continue to self-improve by taking further studies.

He said the knowledge gained is always useful not only while they are at their job but in later life as well.

Merbin also called for greater discipline and integrity in the force saying the public will feel for secure if they know the police are to be relied on.

He said in police work, they must operate as a team, which will bear better results and lighten their task.

Merbin later inspected the parade and presented certificate of appreciation to his men and members of the public who had performed outstandingly.
