LPK Sibu chairman Dato Andrew Wong said he and other board members would strive to develop rural area to reciprocate the trust given by the rural people.

“Community Services Board will strive on developing rural areas. If we cannot develop the rural areas, this is a failure for us,” he said at UPP Sibu Community Service Board gathering held at 1Malaysia Cultural Village, Bukit Aup here, recently.

Also present were LPK Sibu deputy chairman Andrew Shilling, Temenggong Stanley Geramong, Pemanca James Semilan, and organising chairman Winston Suji.

According to Wong, LPK is not just doing maintenance work like the local authorities (PBT), but will implement development in rural areas.
