KUCHING: Toastmasters International District 87, Division D, celebrated its skilled orators at the recent speech contests held at i-CATS University College, where Teo Soo Loon, Stanley Gona Chee Khiong, and Abdul Hadi Abdul Kadir emerged as winners in their respective categories.

Teo, from Utama Toastmasters Club, clinched first place in the International Speech Contest. His club mate, Stanley Gona Chee Khiong, took home the top prize in the Evaluation Contest, while Abdul Hadi Abdul Kadir from Azam Toastmasters Club won the Table Topics (Impromptu Speech) Contest.

These contests were part of a series held on Saturday, involving various Toastmasters clubs under Areas D1 and D2 of Division D.

“These events are integral to our educational programme, providing both a platform for seasoned Toastmasters to enhance their public speaking skills and a learning opportunity for others to observe proficient speakers,” it said in a statement.

The contests showcased the best speakers from earlier competitions at club and area levels earlier this year.
