MIRI: Phase Two of Covid-19 Immunisation programme for this division will kick off on April 23 until 29, focusing on the elderly and vulnerable groups.

A total 3,510 vaccines will be administered during the programme, said Minister of Transport Sarawak Datuk Lee Kim Shin in a statement on Monday (April 19).

“We targeted those aged 69 and 99 based on the lists that we’ve received,” said Lee who is also minister in charge of Miri Division Disaster Management Committee (MDDMC).

Appointment reminders on their vaccination would be sent out to recipients two weeks ahead in advance via MySejahtera application or SMS.

“They (eligible recipients) will be notified via MySejahtera, and they must confirm their vaccination appointment in 48 hours or lose their slots,” he said.

He added, they must confirm attendance within 48 hours by answering “yes” or “no”.

“Failure to give confirmation will cause the appointment to be cancelled,” he said.
