KUCHING: The Dayak Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI) fully supports the state government’s plan to rollout vaccinations for the plantation sector soon.

“This is one of the key sectors which generates revenue and income for the state as well as creates job opportunities, especially for the rural areas,” its treasurer-general Bell Bernard Aggan said today.

As for the industrial sector, he said the public-private partnership for industry Covid-19 immunisation was important.

“If this programme is run properly and completed on time, it will bring down the number of cases and flatten the Covid-19 curve faster.

“With that, our economic activities can recover quicker and people can return to normal life as before,” he said.

Bell, who is also a member of SME Corp Malaysia, stressed that in order for herd immunity to be achieved, it was vital to protect employees in various industrial and economic sectors as well as expedite the setting up of more vaccination centres (PPVs).
