MIRI: All travellers to Brunei must be vaccinated against Covid-19 soon and because of this ruling by the sultanate, all operators of transportation and logistics companies here have been asked to submit the names of their drivers to the Miri Resident’s office as soon as possible for vaccination purposes.

This was disclosed by Transport Minister Datuk Lee Kim Shin today (June 8).

“We can arrange for them to be vaccinated so that they can pass through Brunei in order to go to Limbang and Lawas,” he said.

On June 2, the Brunei government said travellers must be vaccinated against Covid-19 starting August 1 this year.

This new rule applies to all essential travellers including those working abroad, transport operators as well as foreign nationals.

According to Lee, the names of the drivers will be submitted to the Ministry of Health Malaysia (MoH) so that it can arrange for the vaccination process.
