KUCHING: Firefighters have to extricate a driver who was trapped in the seat of his van after he was believed to have lost control of the vehicle and rammed into a fence of a special school at Jalan Ong Tiang Swee here, yesterday.
In the 6.14am incident, 12 firefighters from Batu Lintang fire station were despatched to the scene following a distress call received.
A Bomba spokesman said it was believed that the driver lost control of his van and crashed into the fence of the premises.
The driver who sustained injuries was later taken to Sarawak General Hospital for further treatment.
