KUCHING: Datuk Seri Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah pointed out that political stability had enabled various developments in his constituency and in neighbouring constituencies to take place.
“Once upon a time, Kota Samarahan was very secluded so there was no access to reach places like Asajaya and Muara Tuang, among others.
“However, various developments were strategically planned and made possible through political stability,” the Asajaya assemblyman said.
He was speaking during the Majlis Ramah Tamah Aidilfitri Asajaya PBB here on Saturday night (May 14).
The Asajaya PBB chairman reminded all party members to remain united. “Unity at grassroots level is pertinent as it promotes political stability and harmony.”
“Back in the days, PBB had only 12 seats in the Sarawak Legislative Assembly (DUN) compared to the present day, where the party within Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) is the backbone of our government.
“As a party member, this is something to be proud of as it shows that our voices are being heard,” he added.
Also present at the function were Samarahan MP Datuk Rubiah Wang and Asajaya PBB deputy chief Buang Bolhassan.
