APPLE Inc founder Steve Wozniak being interviewed by the media at the WIEF held at BCCK, yesterday.

KUCHING: Do we have the initiative to work on meaningful projects that do not bring in any income except the joy of doing it? According to Steve Wozniak, the Co-Founder of Apple Inc, new ideas should be worked on and developed even though it does not bring about any income.

“I’m a true believer of this. As an engineer, I had never intended to make profits from the computers or gadgets that I invented. “I just wanted to make better computers for the community and to make daily tasks much easier to be undertaken.

“Hence, if you don’t have a passion in creating, designing new things, using mathematical formulas for programming or putting chips together, you can’t force it on yourself even if you want to. “It starts at a very young age to discover and learn things on your own, which is a rather subjective matter for every individual. Wozniak said this during a press conference held at the World Islamic Economic Forum (WIEF) held at the Borneo Convention Centre Kuching (BCCK) here yesterday.

He continued, “Once a project is successful, one should not stop. He must revisit it and try to develop it using another approach to increase the value of the project’s potential. “For entrepreneurs, every idea that does not give back money contributes more development into their ability,” he said.

Wozniak also expressed his hope for Apple Inc. to further increase the efficiency of navigation functions and its Siri feature to understand more what the users want. “Apple has always been a product that you can count on in reliability and need. It doesn’t need to have many functions like other phones, but won’t put anything below its reliability value.”
