DALAT: A total allocation of RM56,000 was given by the state government as minor rural project (MRP) implementation fund in  Kampung Balan here today.

Minister of Welfare, Community Wellbeing, Women, Family and Childhood Development Datuk Seri Fatimah Abdullah who is Dalat assemblywoman presented the MRP cheques to Kampung Balan’s village security and development committee (JKKK) during her visit to the village here.

The allocation would be used for the repairing of Titian Belian in Kampung Balan Seberang worth RM5,000; construction of jetty at Kampung Balan Islamic cemetery (RM30,000); cementing works of Masjid An-Nur compound (RM19,000) and the purchase of kitchen’s hardware for the village’s JKKK Dapur Wanita (RM2,000).

Fatimah also presented the registration certificate of the Kampung Balan JKKK as well as appointment certificate of the JKKK’s secretary and “Daftar Pemilih Suku Tahunan Ke-4”.

Previously, a similar programme was also conducted in eight other villages in Dalat constituency namely Kampung Baru, Kampung Baru Cina, Taman Ceria Dalat, Kampung Brunei, Kampung Boom, Kampung Kuala Tengah, Kampung Kuala Hilir, and Kampung Medong Hilir.

The programme was meant to be used in discussing development projects for the village as well as to listen to issues and problems faced by the locals.

Also presented were plans in preparing for the upcoming state election.
