KUCHING: Kuching North City Commission (DBKU) and the Kampung Bintangor Besar Friendly Neighbourhood (KJM) held the Kuching City Explorace Activity 2022 on Saturday.

The event which was aimed at enhancing neighbourly ties among the villagers and council staff  was flagged off by Satok assemblyman Datuk Ibrahim Baki.

For the explorace, there are four categories in the competition namely, Roadbike, Mountain Bike Open, Roadbike or Mountain Bike (Senior Citizen), Folding Bike Open and Folding Bike (Senior Citizen).

Among the routes used for the open category were Jalan Muhibbah, Jalan Kulas, Jalan Haji Taha, City Mosque (front route), Jalan Gambir, Jalan Main Bazaar, Lebuh Wayang; Jalan Tun Abg Hj Openg; Satok Flyover; Jalan Satok; Satok Bridge and Jalan Patingan.

While the route for the senior citizens category covers Jalan Muhibbah; Jalan Tanjung; Jalan Patingan; Jalan Dagok; Jalan Muda Hashim; Jalan Haji Mataim and Jalan Datuk Ajibah Abol (Bandarsah/No 3/No 4/No 5 and No 6).

Apart from cycling events and cake decorating competitions, zumba activities and lucky draws for visitors were also held to enliven the event.

A gift and souvenir presentation session was held towards the end of the event.

Also present were a political secretary to the chief minister Abdul Samat Gany, PBB Satok Branch deputy chief Hilmy Othman, DBKU deputy director of community services Rudzaimeir Malek, and Satok Community Sports Club (KSK) deputy chairman Iskandar Sharkawi.
