KUCHING: A dead man clad in a red shirt and checked pants, was found at Kampung Jemukan Ulu in Asajaya on Sunday.
The body which was floating face down in the river was soon secured to the river bank while police were called in. The find brought out a large crowd to the river.
The man was identified as 41-year-old Suhaidi Along from Kampung Semerak.
State CID chief SAC Denis Leong said the police had received information on the body and some officers were on their way to investigate the case.
He said he could not say yet as to whether or not there was any foul play involved in the death of the man as he has yet to get feedback from his investigators.
