Villagers in Seberang Hilir urged to register for vaccine

KUCHING: The residents of 12 villages in the Seberang Hilir area have been urged to register for the Covid-19 vaccination with their respective Village Development and Security Committee (JKKK) if they have yet to register.

According to Sarawak Public Communication Unit (Ukas) in a report last Sunday (June 20), this is to allow residents to be able to get vaccinated at the vaccination centre (PPV) at the Darul Hana Mosque here.

The Ministry of Health (MOH) has set up the Darul Hana Mosque PPV in Pantai Damai constituency which started operating on June 19. It would facilitate locals to receive their vaccination.

The other PPV available included are at the Telaga Air Health Clinic, Santubong Health Clinic and Buntal Health Clinic which have started operating since June 15.

Meanwhile, as many as 420 residents from Kampung Boyan and Kampung Gersik have already been vaccinated at the Darul Hana Mosque PPV last Sunday (June 20).

Earlier on June 19, Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives Minister and Santubong MP Datuk Seri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar, and Assistant Minister in the Chief Minister’s Department (Islamic Affairs and DBKU) Datuk Dr Abdul Rahman Junaidi have also visited the Darul Hana Mosque PPV to look at the vaccination process.
