DALAT: The people in Kampung Tanam at one end and Kampung Sungai Kut Muara at the other end here will enjoy a steady flow of water supply when the RM12.79 million Dalat Water Supply (Phase II) project is completed in October this year.

The project scope includes the construction and completion of a ground reservoir, a pipeline from Dalat to Sungai Kut and an elevated water tank at Sungai Kut.

Welfare, Community Wellbeing, Women, Family and Childhood Development Minister Datuk Seri Fatimah Abdullah, said the movement control order (MCO) had affected the implementation of the project and slowed down its progress, too.

According to her, the project was scheduled to be completed by Jan 5 this year based on the 12-month contract period from Jan 6, 2020.

“The completion date now has been revised to October this year,” Fatimah said during a visit to the ongoing project in Kampung Sungai Kut Muara here today (March 18).
