MIRI: Two longhouse headmen in Suai Niah on Wednesday lodged police reports at Niah police station over a video clip of a brawl in a longhouse that went viral on Facebook.
The brawl was a recent incident that took place when food aid was being distributed to villagers impacted by the movement control order (MCO).
The shocking one-minute-14-second video has sparked outrage amongst netizens.
Angered by the video, the two headmen, Tuai Rumah Boniface Bada and Tuai Rumah Baranyai Siang, filed in police reports at Batu Niah police station.
“We want the police to investigate the person who uploaded the video into Facebook. The viral video has tarnished the image of the longhouse,” said Boniface.
However, the actual reason for the incident was not immediately known.
