KUALA LUMPUR: Renowned motivation expert Datuk Azizan Osman today shared his traumatic experience with Covid-19, which almost killed him and took the life of a loved one.

Azizan, in a Facebook posting, said 31 of his family members were also infected and his mother-in-law died due to the coronavirus.

“Covid almost killed me! At 1.44 pm, on Friday, Jan 15, 2021, I almost died. I was out of breath. The doctor said I had a very slim chance of surviving.

“My family and I were tested with Covid-19. Thirty-one of us were infected and my mother-in-law passed away. Covid is real, the struggle is real,” he said in the update.

Azizan also penned his struggle of pulling through with the aid of a ventilator, describing it as ‘a second chance to live’.

“That was the moment between life and death. You can’t breathe at all. You can’t inhale or exhale and only depended on the machine to survive while fighting for your life using your brain and emotion.

“Do you want to live? Do you want to fight? That was the moment,” said the RichWorks founder.

Azizan said he was slowly recovering, thanks to prayers and words of encouragement from family members, friends, employees and students.

He said the pandemic had given a critical impact to all levels of society, especially those who were unfortunate and he was determined to guide those who needed help in doing business. – Bernama
