KUCHING: Two Indonesian workers ran away from a construction site near the State Legislative Assembly Petra Jaya here after knowing they had tested positive for Covid-19.

Sarawak Police Commissioner Datuk Aidi Ismail said the police were on the lookout for the duo since they ran away from the construction site on Wednesday night.
“The two underwent a swab test on Tuesday, as a requirement for them to work at a construction site in Petra Jaya.
“The duo, identified only as Darussalam (male) and Nurul Hasanah (female), was found to be missing after officers from the Ministry of Health (KKM) went to their living quarters and discovered that they were already gone,” he said in a statement.
A police report on their disappearance was received yesterday morning from KKM.
“However, efforts to locate the duo at several probable areas such as share houses on project sites have failed.
“Today (yesterday), the search headed by the Kuching district police will continue along the border with Indonesia,” he said.
