SIBU: Residents are advised to visit premises that have a vaccination certificate from the Sibu Municipal Council (SMC).

Its chairman Clarence Ting Ing Horh when making this recommendation today (Aug 28) said, this is to create a safe atmosphere while at the business premises.

“Before entering any business premises that include food and beverage premises and supermarkets, members of the public should go to premises that have the certificate displayed.

“The vaccination certificate will let the public know that the employees as well as the owners of the premises have completed their vaccinations.

“Certificates will only be issued to premises that have already completed vaccinations or two doses of Covid-19 vaccine,” Ting explained.

He said all business communities as well as their employees are required by the SMC to receive the Covid-19 vaccine otherwise they would not be allowed to operate.

According to him, council members and SMC staff had presented vaccination certificates to several food and beverage premises last Friday after all its employees completed the vaccination.
