MIRI: The Miri Hospital Visitors Board (MHVB) raised funds to donate four final units of iPads to Miri Hospital.

MHVB chairman Karambir Singh said that the iPads are used as part of the Pharmacy Information System (Phis) in the hospital.

“The use of the iPads is to prescribe medication to patients in the hospital wards, thus helps speed up the clinical process between clinicians and pharmacies.

“This will also save a lot of time, paper works as well as to improve the safety of patients while taking medication,” said the chairman in a statement today.

Karambir expressed his gratitude to those who came forward donating the items for the use of the hospital.

“I would like to thank the caring and generous individuals and donors who came forward and donated towards the target of 10 units within a short space of time.

“Many thanks to all the committee members who went out of the way to actively source for funds,” he added.
