SIBU: People from all walks of life thronged the Aidilfitri Open House hosted by Deputy Minister for Education, Innovation and Talent Development Dr Annuar Rapaee on Thursday night.

Dr Annuar, who is also the Nangka assemblyman, was pleased with the good public response.

“I don’t know the exact number. However, tonight you can see a lot of people coming.

“I think partly because we have not been together for some time and people are very keen to get together,” he said.

Dr Annuar also took the opportunity to remind everyone to keep vigilant as the fight against COVID-19 was not over yet.
Thanks to all for coming tonight but please don’t be off guard. You have to take care of yourself,” he said.

“I would like to take this opportunity to express my gratitude to all those present tonight to be with my family to celebrate Eid al-Fitr this year.”

Eight stalls served various types of food such as Nasi Ayam, Satay, Laksa Sarawak, and Kuih Muih during the open house held at the Sarawak Islamic Complex here from 7.30 pm to 10 pm.
