KUCHING: All areas in Sungai Asap will be experiencing water disruption starting Tuesday (May 25) from 11 am until recovery works are completed.
The Rural Water Supply Department (JBALB) Bintulu Division, in a statement today (May 26), said a leakage in the main water pipe was identified at the junction near Simpang Uma Badeng. This was the cause of the disruption of water supply at Sungai Asap.
“The contractors have been informed to conduct recovery works immediately to ensure the water disruption in Sungai Asap areas is not prolonged.
“JBALB Bintulu division will deliver water to the affected areas to ensure that clean water is provided to the residents,” it said.
JBALB added that updates would be posted on its social media platform.
“We would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused and we appreciate the consumers’ understanding as well as patience in this matter.
