KUCHING: Several factors have contributed to the disruption of water supply experienced by users living around the Petra Jaya and Asajaya areas.

The Kuching Water Board (KWB) said among the factors include the filling of high level water tanks (HLT) and Samariang pump testing by the Rural Water Supply Department (JBALB); decreased water level in water tanks in Bukit Siol, Datu Muda and Entinggan due to higher water demand and high water supply consumption during the festive season and the current hot and dry weather.

“Water supply assistance through water tankers is being transported to the affected areas to help affected users,” said KWB in a statement, today.

It also advises all users to be prudent in using water during this current hot and dry weather and to not waste water for less important purposes to ensure water resources will be able to last longer.

KWB apologises for any inconvenience caused to its users.
