PUSA: The move by Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) to set up a new wing for youths between the ages of 18 to 28 should not result in the creation of merely a pool of observers and listeners.

Beting Maro Information chief Ramzi Rasit said the involvement of youths in politics in a borderless world was very important.

“Rather than them just acting as listeners and observers, it’s better that they get directly involved.

“It is important that they understand issues and actions taken by politicians,” he said on Tuesday (Jan 11).

Commenting on the initiative, he said he welcomed the PBB efforts. “Youth should and must be involved in politics so that they can better understand and know the struggle of the leaders for our homeland and nation.”

Ramzi, however, hoped that the establishment of the new wing would be able to resolve issues related to youth, especially unemployment.
