SEBUYAU: A two-storey wooden house in Kampung Bulan here was destroyed by fire in the wee hours today.
A spokesman for the Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) said they received an emergency call from the public around 3.55 am.
Firemen from Simunjan station were promptly despatched to the scene, about 54km from the station.
On arrival, the uninhabited house was beyond saving but the firefighters got down to work to prevent the fire from spreading to nearby properties.
No injuries or casualties were reported in the incident.
The firemen completed their operation at 5.40 am.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
