KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysian pet brands were recently recognised as ‘Brand of the Year’ in the Animalis edition of the World Branding Awards held in Hofburg Palace, Vienna.

National tier winners from Malaysia included MSIG (Pet Insurance), PetAir Malaysia (Animal Travel Services — Relocation) and Powercat (Cat Food — Dry/Kibble).

The awards were organised by World Branding Forum and the Animalis edition focused on pet and animal brands. The winners were judged via three streams — brand valuation, consumer market research and public online voting.

The forum managing director, Julian Andersen said over 95,000 pet and animal lovers worldwide voted for more than 1,000 brands.
