Wishesland Sibu’s pro-term committee met recently to discuss plans for the branch.

SIBU: A local non-profit organisation, Wishesland Kuching, is looking to extend its support services for children with cerebral palsy to Sibu in future.

This was shared by Wishesland Kuching founder and president Chi Poh Yung on Friday (April 22).

Programmes planned for the new Sibu branch will include early intervention, integrated classroom, workshop facilities, short-term residential training, group homes, intensive parents training courses, toy library, hydrotherapy and Wishesland playground.

According to Chi, the organisation was in the process of registering Wishesland Sibu with the Registrar of Societies.

“Many parents of children with cerebral palsy in Sibu have been giving us positive feedback on a Wishesland branch in Sibu. We hope the branch can be set up soon to give treatment to these children.”

Chi, who is also Wishesland Sibu advisor, said a pro-term committee for the Sibu branch with seven committee members had been set up with its first committee meeting held virtually on March 22.
