PADAWAN: The police are urgently need the public’s help in an investigation after a hit-and-run accident happened yesterday (June 24) on Mile 9, Jalan Matang.
The incident involved a 29-year-old pedestrian who was tragically struck by a vehicle while walking home from work towards Mile 10. The collision took place around 6 pm.
According to investigations, the victim sustained severe injuries when an unidentified vehicle rear-ended him suddenly. The driver of the vehicle fled the scene immediately after the accident.
The injured pedestrian was promptly rushed to Sarawak General Hospital (SGH) for immediate medical attention. Despite the best efforts of the medical team, the victim tragically succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the hospital.
