LAWAS: A woman in Kampung Awat-Awat Sundar here has reported a Peeping Tom to the police here.
The Peeping Tom is none other than the woman’s own 29-year-old, jobless brother-in-law.
Lawas Police chief DSP Sila Kadong said the police were investigating the case after the woman lodged a report.
The case is being investigated under Section 509 of the Penal Code which criminalises offences which insult the modesty of any person.
“We will submit the investigation paper to the deputy prosecutor for legal action,” added Sila.
In her report, the woman said she was in the shower in her house at Kampung Awat-Awat Sundar last Saturday when she heard something fall down outside the bathroom.
Shocked by the sound, she opened the bathroom door and saw her brother-in-law fleeing the scene.
It is said other residents in the village had also experienced similar ordeals with the man prowling around the neighbourhood and peering into their windows.
