KUCHING: A woman was charged in the Sessions Court here yesterday for two counts of using counterfeit money worth RM200 in 2014.
According to the case fact, Shera Dingih, 28, owns and uses the counterfeit money to make payments at a supermarket on Oct 10, 2014.
The accused was arrested by a security guard who was alerted to the situation and she was handed over to Batu Kawa police station.
Shera is charged under Section 489B of the Penal Code which carries a maximum of 20 years in jail and a fine upon conviction.
Judge Marutin Bagan allowed bail of RM5,000 and set Apr 18 for mention.
