BAU: A 21-year-old woman was injured after her car crashed into a ditch at Jalan Singai here yesterday.

According to operation commander PBT Mohd Shahril, the Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) operation centre (PGO) received an emergency call from the Malaysian Emergency Response Services (MERS) 999 regarding the incident.

It was reported that the accident occurred at 11.45am when the driver lost control of her vehicle and landed in a ditch.

A team of 12 firefighters, led by PBK II Kadrie Bogor, from Bau fire station were despatched to the scene.

Upon arrival, the victim was found conscious in her seat.

The victim was then removed from the wreckage and taken to Bau Hospital for treatment.
