KUCHING: The organisers of the 25th Miss Tourism International World Final 2022/2023 on Tuesday (Nov 22) launched the Miss Tourism International Pageant Foundation with special benefits for both past and present participants of the pageant.

Owner and president of the brand name and with over 30 years experience as a pageant organiser, Tan Sri Datuk Danny Ooi said the foundation was for study assistance for the beauties sponsored by Centex.

“Besides education, this foundation is also for the welfare, social and family benefits of the girls who participated in this pageant 24 years ago and presently,” he said at the function, which also held the Yastech Women Empowerment workshop simultaneously.

“Percentage from this year’s pageant will also be given to the study foundation and this goes back to the girls back 24 years ago who had participated in this pageant,” Ooi added.

Meanwhile, the founder and organising chairperson of YAST Group, Esther Law Lee Poh also urged the 40 beauties to appreciate their participation in the pageant as it was also both educational and beneficial to them.

On the workshop, the speakers comprised Venezuelan motivational speaker, Argenis Angulo; Datin Sri Jacqueline Ngu, Miss World Malaysia 1993/1994, Mrs Asia Pacific Queen of Substance 2016 (Singapore)/ Entrepreneur and Dr Dewi Motik Pramono M. Si, founder of Indonesia Business Women Association.
