KUCHING: Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg’s message for Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) members to work for a better Sarawak was echoed by Transport Minister Datuk Lee Kim Shin.
Lee, who is also Sarawak United People’s Party (SUPP) vice president, said that the GPS chairman’s words were clearly understood by the members.
“It is important that we ensure peace and harmony in the state and political stability as it ensures the livelihood of the people,” he said yesterday.
“Only Sarawak-based parties know Sarawak better and I hope that the people will not be unduly influenced by outsiders.”
Lee said that Sarawakians must stay together to ensure a better future for people.
“Only by them staying and working closely together, can they remain united to defend our rights and interests,” he explained.
