Work together to bring Bintulu forward

BINTULU: Newly-minted Bintulu resident, Nyurak Keti has urged government departments and agencies to work together to provide him with full support just as they have to his predecessor.

He explained that it is important to work together as one team and ensure Bintulu becomes an attractive destination.

“With the team work from all departments, Bintulu is known as an industrious town.

“What we have seen today, we have an incredible team, we have strong leaders in Datuk Seri Dr.Stephen Rundi, Datuk Seri Tiong King Sing, Datuk John Sikie Tayai, Datuk Majang Renggi, John Pang Leong Ming and also Datuk Talib Zulpilip.

“We in Bintulu are privileged to have prominent leaders present around us all,” he said.

He was speaking at the appreciation ceremony for  Bintulu Division Resident at a well-known hotel here, on Wednesday (Feb 15) .

“To bring Bintulu forward to greater heights, we at the department level and in the villages must give full support to ensure development can be carried and executed

“Without the support and teamwork, I believe what has been planned out would not have been able to be achieved,” he added.

Nyurak added that the appreciation ceremony is a testament of teamwork and support to ensure Bintulu will continue to be an industrious, peaceful and prosperous city.

He commenced his duty as the Resident for Bintulu on Dec 5, last year.

Previously the Kapit Resident, Nyurak transferred to Bintulu Division Administration to replace Datuk Jack Aman Luat, who is currently director of Unit for Other Religious Affairs (UNIFOR).
