Work together to provide safety net for everyone, says insurance society chief

KUCHING: Insurance Society of Sarawak (PIS) will continue its efforts in promoting professionalism, commitment and integrity.

Its president, Stephen Yii Chui Lik said they are prepared for the next phase of tariff liberalisation and digitalisation, which will push for further innovative product and enhanced services for the betterment of the societies.

“We need to unite, in diversified environment and background, and working together to provide and inclusive growth and safety net to everyone in the community.

“Our society, our market, particularly in Sarawak is big enough to excel and this surely will bring more vibrancy especially in time of need during this recovery phase after the COVID-19 pandemic,” he said

He also added that PIS will surely able to continue shouldering strongly in delivering its objectives for the insurance sector in Sarawak.

“This is for the development of the social and educational programmes for its members and public at large,” he said.

Yii said this in his speech during the 43rd anniversary dinner of PIS at Waterfront Hotel in Kuching on last night.

He then expressed his appreciation to the committee members who have lived up to their commitment and team spirit in organising the various events social and educational activities for the benefits of the members.

“My gratitude to all our members, who are also under the essential workforce for strictly observe the standard operating procedure, staying safe and continue supporting the communities during the difficult period,” said Yii.

Insurance Society of Sarawak (PIS) celebrated its 43rd anniversary with the theme “Unite and Inclusive Growth” and has gone through its years of continuity through the trust, support, and commitment of every member in the industry.

Also present during event was the organising chairman, Ivy Gan, president of Life Insurance Association of Malaysia (LIAM) Loh Guat Lan alongside other important guests.
