SIBU: A ten-door workers’ quarters at Primula Terbilang Plantation, Batang Lassa was razed by fire at midnight.
State fire department received a distress call at around 12.30am and immediately despatched fire fighters to the scene. The location was 47 kilometres away from the fire station and machineries struggled to enter the area due to narrow and damaged roads.
Upon arrival, it was found that a block of non-permanent structure was fully destroyed in the blaze.
There were no reports of casualties and the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
