SIMANGGANG: Construction works on a 70-metre concrete bridge crossing the Sungai Undop in Kampung Beleti has commenced.

According to Simanggang assemblyman, Datuk Francis Harden Hollis, the plan for RM4.2 million project was initiated in 2018, prior to receiving approval from the Sri Aman Development Agency (SADA).

“This bridge, once completed, will benefit the residents of Kampung Beleti, particularly Rumah Kedeney, thereby boosting their economic activities,” he said.

Harden who is also the Deputy Minister of Education, Innovation and Talent Development, hopes the residents nearby will give full cooperation to the agencies that are implementing the bridge construction.

“Good cooperation is needed so that the project can be completed within the specified time frame of 12 months,” he said during the ground breaking ceremony of the project recently.

During the ceremony, Harden also received briefing about the project from the Deputy Engineer of the Public Works Department (PWD) Sri Aman, Kiew Siaw Hiong, before proceeding to visit the project site.
