Yayasan Sarawak gives RM10,000 to fire survivors

SRI AMAN: A total of RM10,000 from Yayasan Sarawak was disbursed recently to survivors whose longhouse was razed to the ground on December 18 last year at Guntong Ulu, Batu Lintang in Undop.

Community Wellbeing Assistant Minister  Datuk Francis Harden Hollis witnessed the handover of the aid by the foundation’s deputy director for education assistance service, Louis Simon Peter, to Tuai Rumah Daniel Lawi.

In his speech, Harden thanked and expressed his appreciation for Yayasan Sarawak’s initiative to help the people in the area.

The aid was meant to meet the needs of students affected by the fire.

In his speech Peter hoped the aid could lessen the burden of the fire survivors. 

Also present at the handover ceremony was Sri Aman District Officer, Mohd Ashree Wee, Councillor Andar Suntai, and Yayasan Sarawak officers.
