KUCHING: Sarawak acting coach Mohamad Denny Da’ail was quite happy with his boys’ performances, despite their failure to collect three points against PDRM in a Premier League match at the State Stadium on Saturday.
In a relatively balanced match, the PDRM’s penalty goal in the 50th minute denied the Crocs the much-awaited win in front of their home fans.
“However, our local players have shown a very positive attitude. It can be seen through their mentality, technical, confidence and team spirit,” he said.
According to Denny, the young Sarawakians have gone through a positive learning curve. “They are still at the development phase to play in a highly competitive stage.
“So when they showed a positive reaction, it’s something good enough for them and the team,” the coach added. Meanwhile, Sarawak are now in ninth spot in the 11-team league as PDRM move up to eighth spot on the standing.
Sarawak will face Kelantan away this Saturday before a long one and half month break beginning next week for the fasting month of Ramadan.
