MUKAH: Christmas carolling brings cheer and joy to local Christian families as they prepare for Christmas this Dec 25.
Carolling has been part and parcel of Christmas celebration in this district for decades.
The programme which runs from 6pm until 9.30pm from last Dec 9 till Dec 14 was organised by the parish pastoral council of Sts Peter & Paul Roman Catholic Church in collaboration with the Catholic Youth Bureau.
It involved a few youth groups lead by elders as they went from house to house in town, housing estates and villages.
According to the Catholic community here, carolling helps to strengthen personal and spiritual relationships among their members.
During the carolling period, people gave donations to the ‘singing visitors’ in appreciation for their contribution to the church.
