MIRI: Eight newly appointed members of the Malaysian Youth Parliament from Sarawak recently made a courtesy call on Sarawak Youth and Sports Department acting director Zaini Abdul Aziz in Kuching.

A total of 14 new members from Sarawak was appointed as members of the Malaysian Youth Parliament and would be receiving their appointment letters cum oath taking ceremony on Sept 19.

During the visit, Zaini advised the newly appointed members that the council (Youth Parliament) is a good platform to enhance their leaderships skills.

The council is scheduled to hold its legislative assembly from Sept 25 to 26 this year.

Those present during the courtesy call were Spanski Steven (Miri), Debbie Gibson Medan (Bintulu), Samuel Desmond Tuah (Betong), Brandonn Anyi (Kapit), Reily Repai Maringai (Kapit), Florence Meredith (Betong), Muhammad Zhariff (Kuching) and Mohd Zul Haziq (Betong).
